![]() ![]() So, from the Autodesk Community Forum, I used the modified python script that was supplied there. Both windows in each program would open, but not talk to each other. I also installed the registry fix from that same reddit post, although I'm sure if that is needed. I have found that method repeated all over the place to mixed results. You can find the bundle I made here: MayaToAE_LiveLinkįrom the 2 links below, I am using the extension modification from the reddit link (where you change the host to ). I haven't tried any other version/combination. Also, I'm not a tech guy, so I can't really help troubleshoot too much, but it's all there as well as I could articulate it. I've included instructions with links to both forums, and I will post them both below as well. ![]() I've downloaded all of the files and combined them together in one place. ![]() You can work around it obviously, like the old days, but every time I open that file menu in Maya and see the "Adobe After Effects Live Link" item, my blood boils!Īnyway, my solution combines another reddit thread in r/Maya with a solution from the Autodesk Community forum. Many people (including myself) started using the LiveLink in a lot of their workflows only for it to break a while back. until today! I found a solution that made it work on my system and I want to share it because this is the most annoying, frustrating thing ever. Most of the threads and solutions are quite old, so I usually don't have much luck. So, every few months or so, I take a another crack at trying to get Maya to AE LiveLink working. ***UPDATE: As of Feb 27, 2023, I can confirm this works with Maya 2023 and AE 2023*** ![]()
